Hosted by fashion environmentalist Runa Ray, this documentary will touch upon various facets of the fashion industry, which is responsible for 20% of the global waste water and pollution of our oceans.
The fashion industry stakeholders have a role to play in reducing climate emissions resulting from their operations, with an awareness that the majority of climate impact within the industry lies in manufacturing of products and materials as well as educating end users about the environmental impacts of fashion and the importance of their action towards climate change mitigation.
Responding to climate change requires action on both mitigation and adaptation, with special regards to those that are most vulnerable.
In fashion, 23% of emissions are in the usage and end-of-use part of the value chain. 21% of accelerated abatement potential lies in encouraging consumer behaviors.
Join us to listen about how we in the fashion industry can make a difference when it comes to mitigating ocean pollution and ensuring that we are responsible for healthy seas.
